Transmutations: Alchemy in Art
Works from the Eddleman and Fisher Collections

Transmutations: Alchemy in Art is one of two CHF exhibits featuring depictions of alchemists. The artworks in the exhibits date from the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries and are by artists of predominantly Flemish, Dutch, and German origin. They portray alchemists engaged in professions as various as physician, pharmacist, dentist, and metallurgist.
