The Quality of Science in Regulation: What Constitutes Good Science, and How Certain Do We Need To Be?
Date: 19 March 2009
Time: 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Location: Chemical Heritage Foundation
315 Chestnut Street
Philadelphia, PA 19106
Description:
Villanova University School of Law and the Chemical Heritage Foundation present the third annual Matthew J. Ryan Law and Public Policy Forum.

The Obama administration promises to follow science, not politics, in health and environmental regulation. However, despite broad consensus for “good science” in the regulatory context, there are significant differences of opinion over exactly what constitutes quality research.

The third annual Ryan Forum will explore current concerns over what science and whose science counts in regulatory decision-making and litigation.

Space is limited, and preregistration is encouraged.

To register, or for more information, visit the Villanova School of Law Web site.
