First Friday at CHF: Batteries

CHF joins over 40 Old City museums, galleries, and shops in opening its doors for First Friday. In addition to extending our hours until 8:00 p.m., each month's event will feature fascinating special guest speakers and interactive activities.

At our Independence Day First Friday "Manual Science" event, attendees can celebrate the spirit of Founding Father Ben Franklin by learning how to create electric batteries using everyday household items to generate currents. Supplies will be provided.

As always, you'll have the chance to explore our permanent exhibition, Making Modernity, and sLowlife, a dynamic multimedia exhibition that presents plants as complex, living beings.
