The construction at CHF is almost complete! This fall we will open three new spaces at our headquarters in Philadelphia:

  • The two-story Masao Horiba Exhibit Hall, featuring CHF’s permanent exhibition, Making Modernity;
  • The Clifford C. Hach Gallery, which will showcase changing exhibitions, starting with Molecules That Matter;
  • The E. I. du Pont Conference Center, offering a range of meeting and event spaces for professionals.

Two major new exhibitions
Making Modernity is the new permanent exhibition at CHF; it will open at CHF in fall 2008. Featuring artifacts from across CHF's collections and library, Making Modernity brings the exciting untold story of the chemical and molecular sciences to life. Learn more!

Molecules That Matter
Organized in partnership with The Frances Young Tang Teaching Museum and Art Gallery at Skidmore College, Molecules That Matter showcases ten organic molecules that profoundly altered our world in the twentieth century. The exhibition is presently on view at Skidmore College.

When Can I Visit?
The galleries and Molecules That Matter will open in fall 2008. Making Modernity will open on 3 October 2008. Admission is free and hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday–Friday. There will be special evening hours on 3 October. For more information, contact museum@chemheritage.org.
