Reference Services and Fees Ready-Reference Services For questions that can be answered with in-house resources in 30 minutes or less. Cost: No charge Extended Reference Services For questions that involve searching all relevant literature, in-house sources, and fee-based databases such as Dialog, FirstSearch, etc. Cost: $50 for 30 minutes ($75 per hour) plus cost of sources; includes up to 10 pages of photocopies, if relevant; add 25 cents for each photocopy over 10 pages Request and Billing Procedures Please submit requests to reference@chemheritage.org or via the contact information given below. Billing time begins when research is started, not when the request is received. The patron is billed for time and resources used. If the reply and materials are sent by mail, an invoice will accompany them. If reply is by phone, fax, or e-mail, an invoice will be mailed within 5 business days. Time is rounded to nearest half-hour increment. Delivery method depends on patron preference and nature of the search.
