Marie Curie

Marie Curie was the first person ever to win two Nobel Prizes, one in 1903 for physics and one in 1911 for chemistry. While winning international honors, Curie shattered educational barriers at home. In 1908 she became the first woman professor at France’s elite university, the Sorbonne.
